Our Story
Mandy met Doug online. They both happened to be on a speed dating event on the app. It was both their first time trying the feature. They hit it off and started making weekly phone calls. Doug lived in Perry, UT and Mandy lived in Salem, UT (108 miles or about 1 hour and 45 minutes apart). Their first date was Shakespeare in the park, since Mandy had a musical gig around the halfway point.
A series of events occurred that made it possible for Doug to move to the city, a dream of his from long ago, and he hopped on the opportunity and took a risk to be closer to his beloved Mandy. Lots of mountain biking and temple dates later, Mandy and Doug find themselves together in the metro and oh what a blast they've had and will have.

Within the first few minutes of texting, Mandy found Doug's humor to be the best thing in the world. She always wanted to find someone that made her belly laugh and Doug never fails at this feat. From hitchhiking down the provo river when he lost his paddle board, to putting on hilarious, improvised monologues in the living room--smiling is so easy when Doug's around.
His sweetness comes in forms of fresh berries, flower bouquets, insisting on carrying the cello, making late night dinners after gigs, and so much more. Once Mandy had two gigs back to back. The only way she made it on time was to drive over a curb, throw the keys to Doug outside the doors, grab the cello and run inside. Oh what adventures they've both had, and what grand times await!
